Comment:
My first single artist mix in a very long time. A birthday gift for a new fan. One of my favorite bands and someone I've seen perform at least once a year since their first album. They are very big in Buffalo because of Canadian radio and they sell out every show in town once or twice a year with very singalong rabid fans. They also usually play free downtown every summer. This set doesn't include the last couple of albums so there will have to be a volume 2.
Feedback:
Great tribute to a great band. I love single-artist mixes that highlight artists that don't usually get a lot of fanfare (at least around these parts). Saw them a few times - lots of great musicianship there.
Don't know these guys George, might have to ask for a trade to enlighten the uninitiated!
Sorry, George...I'm unfamiliar with these guys!
I'll have to check them out!
I only know "5 Days in May," but it is a really good sound.
These guys are really great - nice mix.
I'm actually not long in discovering Blue Rodeo - I've enjoyed what I've heard so far, and this looks great!
I first heard Rose-Coloured Glasses when it was released in 1987. I was 10 years old, and I've been a huge fan ever since. This is a great starter compilation (even though I miss Bad Timing!!) - look foward to seeing Volume 2.
Heard of the band ,but not heard the music.A trade would be nice
i've also seen the band many times. i compiled my own 'sing along blue' mix back in dec.2002 and after seeing yours, i've now posted it to aotm.
i thought it was interesting to contrast how many selections were taken from each of their albums on our respective mixes:
outskirts: 2 v. 4
diamond mine: 3 v. 2
casino: 4 v. 2
lost together: 2 v. 2
five days in july: 2 v. 4
nowhere to here: 2 v. 0
tremolo: 1 v. 1
