There's no more solid, influential, and respected figure in traditional country than the great George Strait. He got his major label break in 1980 after studying agriculture at Southwest Texas State, where he formed country outfit Ace In the Hole; the track of the same name appears on [i]Beyond the Blue Neon[/i], one of his finest albums.
