Comment:
Sort of a screwy mix, I guess; maybe I'm getting outta practice in the mix biz. Still, it's getting lots of airplay in the car these days. Plenty o' garage, surf & rockabilly, etc. - the standard Lally treatment. Thanks to Gerry for tracks and to Franklin Onn for that boss Travis Womack tune. Basically, it's a summer driving mix ideally played through a shitty car radio. Title is from the great Memo Lender tune - anyone have the original? Disc dedicated to Semie Mosely, or anyone who's ever built a guitar on his/her kitchen table.Feedback:
Looks swell to me. Love the Detroit Cobras track in particular.
i love that Sonics song. Great Work!
This looks like lots of fun and a great driving experience.
yeah, looks like a whole lotta fun
Swell to me, too! (You can't "practice" this, just go with the gut...right where it hits!)
Lally can.
Lally can.
From what I heard in your car today, it sounded great. And it looks neat-o-riffic, as well.
It does look screwy; the best kind of screwy though!
In the words of Gerry & the Pacemakers, I like it!
Groovy trax, Sean. I bet this would sound good at the bowling alley too.
"Like what? Me Worry?" Nicely demented stuff Sean.
Looks kick Ass Sean...great stuff!
A typically brilliant Lallyesque mix. Your most welcome, Sean. Especially love the Sonics, Bobby Darin, and the Shadows picks. Really Great stuff.
love to see squirrel nut zippers here - that's a great song! great lally-esque mix !
Wonderful! Hooray for the Sean Lally Mixed Genre mixes!!! I could really go for a copy of this one!
oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah! I just listened to this, & it's kitchen table / car radio outstanding!! Goes from 0 to 60 in zero seconds with the Boss Hoss opener. Now I'm gonna go do the Mexican Shuffle, I'm gonna do the Zonk, I wanna be a Watusi Zombie!
Certified 12/11/04 by these here ears: definitely a Good Thing!
