Comment:
Seeing that the makers of "Donnie Darko" have yet to release a soundtrack, I assembled one of my own. This includes tracks not used in the theatrical version -- "Never Tear Us Apart" replaces "The Killing Moon" in the opening scene of the Director's cut, and originally "West End Girls" was used for the Sparkle Motion dance routine, but the rights for the song were too expensive, so it didn't make the final cut. Anyway, enjoy!Feedback:
The Soundtrack To Donnie Darko has been available to purchase at my store since it got released on DVD. And that was months ago...!
Sometimes I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion.
Well, I misspoke (miswrote?). You're right, they did release the movie's score, but to my knowledge they still haven't released a soundtrack with all the 80's songs featured in the movie.
maybe you could inude U2's MLK because rumor has it that was intended to be the soundtrack for the final scene rather than Mad World but it too was too expensive to get rights for...
I'd loike to make a trade for this :)
