this mix was made for a girl i was meeting for the first time. i was rather unaware of her taste in music, so i attempted to encapsulate a broad spectrum. the first track is from the movie swingers, which she had mentioned she loved - plus, kicking it off with a jazz jam is always bomb. the keepsake song is cute as crap. justin timberlake is an incredible musician and has a fucking amazing voice so if you are going to nit-pick that, i'm telling you right now to shut up because you are neglecting talent. i threw duncan sheik in there just for good measure. that rahzel song is incredible and i love beatboxing. that counterfeit song doesn't necessarily fit the theme, but it's one of my fav. songs at the moment. the get up kids song as cliche as poison the well's "nerdy," except that it has a better cuddlefactor. and the owen song brings the mix to and end quite well i felt.
