He may not be the flashiest musician out there, but The Heartbreaker sure has cranked out some nifty tunes over the year. While this collection mya lean itself heavily towards his hits, and is admittadly "wildflowers" and "Full Moon Fever" heavy, they still encompass a lot of what Petty's music is. Loose and jangily, straight up and narrative, the verses of the everyman. I really like the blueseyness of 'Broken' and wish Petty did more like that, but I'll take what I can get. It is difficult to limit Petty to one disc, but you've done a great job. I really like his work on the "She's The One" soundtrack. What's the deal with dogs though?
From a long time Petty fan..I have to say you have everything I love by the man. If it was a 21 reasons mix..I'd sneak in Zombie Zoo, just for the fun of it :)

Can't go wrong with Petty!!! There is alway more to add from his catalog of rock tunes! I was pulled in by his Wallflowers album and then by his greatest hits and they never get old! Every tune on here is great!
I like Tom Petty, mainly because it sounds like he has a good record collection. Plus, he's got Mike Campbell, a really great guitar player. All good tunes here.
Hard to improve on his Greatest Hits package but you've done well to add on his recent best... hehe I said package!
