this was the first mix cd i ever made. i did it at work on a cd burner we had bought to create software installation disks. it was made as a birthday present for my sister-in-law who was less than happy about the fact that i had taken her little sister from texas to live with me in england. the theme is obvious, though if you don't know some of the songs or the geography, you may miss some of the references, the obvious but inevitable link between the smiths and soho and, indeed, the general mood of the collection. incidentally, if you don't already know and love helen love, you really ought to
