Comment:
A sort of Pebbles/Nuggets affair from this side of The Pond featuring known artists like The Crawdaddy Simone and obscurities like The Beatles & a weird outfit named Pink Floyd...now for a nice pot of tea, choc hob knobs and East Enders! This One Goes Out For Steve Marriott! Enjoy.Feedback:
So very much to love here: Pretty Things, Kinks, Who, Screaming Lord Sutch, the Stones, Mayall, Family, Zombies, Small Faces, Dusty, Yardbirds, etc.! And Helen Shapiro!!!! Excellent Dom! You know what I like!
HA! Anthony Newley! That's funny and gay, and I'm certain you will soon see why.
This is another of those mixes where I know a lot of the artists, but not the material; knowing who made it though I think it's fair to assume it's

A wonderful period! Looks like an excellent one, Dom. I wish I knew the tracks on either side of USSR so I could picture the flow.I have pitched this to Valis, but I think you are the perfect mixer for this: a mix that tracks (in background to hear both) with the movie Blow-Up (maybe with a silent track while the Yardbirds actually do thier bit on stage in the movie). thoughts? To me that movie is a perfect period piece for the time and place: mod London.
Lots of artists I know and songs I don't...one of the very best kinds of mixes!
Well, I've heard of John's Children but the Beatles are new to me. I need to be educated.
Wxcellent! Would love to hear the Bowie.
So many great tunes here! Love that Screaming Lord Sutch track and it's always good to see the Move pop up.
Smashing! And throw me in the "great Lord Sutch pick" camp.
great is the word, even like that cliff song
How abou' a pint o' stale bitter, some soggy fish and chips well-doused with cheap vinegar and Coronation Street instead? Anyway, this looks like a fine piece of sh . . . er, work, indeed.
more awesome stuff, Frenchie old chap!
And after EastEnders: University Challenge and a nice oily rag. Great idea and mix Dom.
Has Gerry been at the whisky again Dom? This looks great I'd love to take credit for it. Elections just aren't the same with out Lord Sutch are they?
Yes, this is spot-on wonderful.
Nice idea, Dom. Lotsa great tracks
another awesome mix of great picks.
This looks great. If you ever get a burner, I'd love to trade for this... ;-)
Pip-pip, cheerio and all that rot - the lad Dom is a bit of a mod, no?
Nice look & feel t'this, Dom.
Good Pink Floyd and Rolling Stones choice! Great totality.
Really nice, and I won't even bring up the ongoing "why don't you have a CD burner?" question. Just heard that the singer for the Move died.
Mmmmm, chocolate Hob Nobs. I'm a bit late in commenting here - internet troubles - but this is, well, simply spiffing. I absolutely love the first side - the inclusion of Newley is inspired - and I like the Yardbirds and Kinks too. Nice to see Terry Reid as well!
