Comment:
this was actually the second mix cd i made. a present for my mother-in-law who is just about the biggest beatles fan i have ever met. when she came to visit us in england for the first time, i took her to liverpool, to the beatle museum, to the site of the original cavern, to paul mccartney's house and to abbey road to name but a few. the alert among you may spot that not every song on this mix is actually a beatles' cover. we can argue about how much of the pm dawn piece is original and how much is the fab moptops, but there are two other songs which are in no way beatles numbers, but which yet most definitely belong on this mix. can you spot them? and do you know why they belong?Feedback:
The Senseless Things track is actually a Rutles cover & the PM Dawn track samples "Baby you're a Rich Man" (I think). Cool mix!
quite right. but i did own up to the pm dawn thing (and does it sample? or simply quote from?). there is another cuckoo in the nest :)
but thanks for the kind words

The Cub song is a Yoko cover that was on Double Fantasy and was the B-side to John Lennon's "Watching The Wheels" single . The Rutles cover was previously mentioned.
Im surprised you used Helter Skelter by Siouxsie on the mix! Usually I see people (myself included) use Dear Prudence instead. Impressive
Bad Brains version of "Day Tripper" would've been a fine edition to this. Or Victor Wooten's version of "Norwegian Wood."
I'm assuming you've never heard Wilson Pickett's version of "Hey Jude," which would explain its absence here.
It kicks ass!
