Comment:
Henry Threadgill's Air, not the French electronica duo.Feedback:
Not much I know but Bud Powell is always appreciated.
He delightfully says know 2 of these artists!
Viva der Neubauten!!!
Nice. I love the Air Lore album.
This is another of Curtis' mixes that, despite being unfamiliar with the selection of artists, I have come to "recognize" by format/length of mix & type of artist ('trios', collaborations, etc., based upon previous unrecognizable posts), along with an occasional anchor (Bud Powell, Roy Montgomery, etc).
Impressive as ever...yet, still a mystery!
I nearly just asked where to find THAT air song but now I know, intersting as always
Groovy vibes Curtis. Coincidentally, I just learned of Threadgill's Air whilst perusing a stack of old Creem mags that a librarian friend graciously donated to me.
Looks tasty, as usual - we can always count on Curtis to raise awareness of the deserving un- and little- yet must be- known.
exactly what g.a.b l@b says!
Well, I love the two songs that I know (the Wyatt and the Powell)...
g.a.b l@b has described more eloquently than I could have attempted in my current state, exactly that which I had begun to suspect.
Yes. I *think* I can imagine the atmosphere of this, and I do like what I'm imagining. Opening with that Neubauten pick really works well!
A slow deep breath and a head rush.
