Comment:
Took awhile to make this, but it worked out fairly well. A nice bit of background music for my office. Tried to mix things up as much stylistically as possible, sticking (mostly) to non-vocal pieces from typically vocal artists that stood up as songs rather than just background ambience (hence the absence of, say Brian Eno).
Feedback:
Wow. Impressive!
exactly
Right. Totally impressive and great. I'll want one of these someday (when I finally finish my two-volume Marley mix set, perhaps).
Good reading music. Or working music.
looks interesting!!!!
man, this is awesome. this is good studying music.
Monumental, transcendental, & instrumental. Some of the greatest instrumentals of all time, & TWO CD's worth -- inspiring.
An idea I have toyed with for a while, but I doubt it would be as good as this. Great stuff.
Excellent, brilliantly done and some favourites of mine. Thumbs up.
very cool!
Wonderful throughout.
There aren't even words to describe the coolness of this...
Quite superb!
Excellent - I was thinking of doing something similar (actually after hearing Is This Music?) but this, I think, goes a lot further than I could have, and is consequently a lot better than I would have done! Like the High Llamas and Jam picks too. I would love to hear this.
Great stuff!
I was going to say what 12vman said, but now I got nothing. I really like the Clap -- the song that is. It inspired me to take up guitar in junior high. I figured I could impress all the girls with my fancy fret work during recess. I knew so little back then.
I almost never put instrumentals on mixes, but I love the idea of an insturmetal mix - especially the way you did it by not relying on the instrumental mainstays like surf bands, ambient artists, and jazz. Love to see the Young Marble Giants being used for good. I'll be doing a rip-off of this sometime in the future.
I'm embarrassed to admit just how little of this I know from the titles (artists, of course but actual tracks?). However, I've dug a few of these out from albums I own, and can now commend you on the effort and thoughtfulness of this mix. If you can be bothered, at some time I would like to trade please.
