Christ Dom, surely not all brides? I was kinda hoping to stay connected to Mrs. Connection Great fun mix though!
...just a tad bitter?
I was just saying to myself the other day, "Hey, self - you ought to put "The Adultress" on a mix one of these days..." Well, self, "Dom beat me to it."
And Cliff - Women are just like us - they're all the same. They're just not the same as us.....if you catch my meaning.

Looks like a fun mix... for some. By coincidence at the moment I'm reading the comments I'm at work listening (with headphones) to The Coneheads doing "The Happiest Day Of Her Life". A really weird but hum able song about a bride committing suicide on her wedding day. Would have sounded right at home here.
My parents have been married for 40 years (Long may they continue)...I'm not married, never have been, so, no, I'm certainly not bitter!
Ahhh
she used to do the pony, used to do the stroll...
looks like a white wedding, Dom!

Another great one. Special props for the Monkees, Gram, Knickerbackers, James Carr, Bonzo Dog Band, and Hank Williams. That particular Liz Phair song is also great.
Really impressive, Dom. I especially like side 2, there. Great stuff.
Wonderful. I'm with Shawn on side 2...man, I love that Charlie Rich track.
brilliant as ever. Always nice to see John Cooper clarke on a mix and the rest is great!
Fantastic! Love that Monkees pick (if only for the name), the Radiohead, and Sparks into Noel Coward is really inspired. Well done!
Wonderful!
Let me be the first to congratulate you for being the recipient of the coveted mix of the week! You're most deserving. Also props to heatherspace for a fine characterization of Dom and his mixes.
Congratulations Dom! The honor is at least 25 mixes overdue.
Et moi le deuxieme Dom, wow what a characterization indeed, well deserved mon ami.
Make that troisieme then, Monsieur Burns beat me to it!
Many congrats, Dom. Highly deserved!
Congrats, Dom!
congrats to a well deserved title
Thank you very much for all yr kind comments...I'm both flattered and honoured to be in such good company!
Well done Dom and yes, great comments from heatherspace up there.
I agree w/bear - great comments from heatherspace - I couldn't think of a better way to describe Dom's style - congrats Dom, you swaggering Tarantino!
Congrats.
Another late arriver to the party, but looks like another winner (literally, as it turns out!). That Noel Coward to Sparks looks particularly good.
Runnin' the story through my mind as I read the tracklist. Congrats Dom.
Well done Dom - couldn't go to a better mixer!
oh so sweet
I've been looking at this mix for a few days now and can't really work out what to say. Excellent, obviously. Brilliantly done, goes without saying. Loadsa fun. I had to go looking for the monkees track on the net and eventually found a 'teaser'. I'd like to hear this one day.
Dom, your discs flow like no others! I can never give your mixes just the quick once over because there's always more to savor than first meets the eye - wheather it be a clever lyric or concept connection or two songs that at first don't seem to match up and then when I play them in my head they're perfect together. I especially dig the Kinickerbockers into Big Star and then followed up with the Birthday Party. And I also have to single out the Ann Margret, Bonzos, and one of my favorite Monkess songs. Nice job as always, and congrats on the MotW - you could have taken that title dozzens of other times as well. You are most definitely one of the AotM all-stars. -Dale
...
I dunno...
