ok now it's looking like something but Vonda Shephard and that jagger/Bowie thing could be the worst thing they ever did

Don't it make my brown eyes blue? I have to say in most cases I refer the brown-eyed original, but there are some fine tracks here -- & as long as we're going down this road, for vol 2 you might consider the Rascals a.k.a Young Rascals, & possibly the Righteous Brothers?

OK. Kids, this is a collection of older Motown COVERS done by white (or semi-white) artists. I'm not aware of any older COVERS done by Remy Shand or Joss Stone, but hey, they might be out there.

Some of this stuff is actually hilarious. Yes, Vonda is really scraping the bottom for this one and I assume that the Jagger/Bowie cut was done after Bianca found them in bed together. It's a very strange production, which kind of sets the mood.

The only cover that I have by the Rascals is "Too Many Fish In The Sea," which title is already covered in vol 1 (I'm trying not to repeat any). And I don't have or know of any older Motown covers recorded by Bill and Bobby (I think I read somewhere that Berry wouldn't release the rights to them).

So, for vol 2 I have cuts by Nicolette Larson, Phil Collins, The Dead, Doobies, Bolton, Rickie Lee, Joan O, Gweneth & Huey, The Rippingtons, Sinatra, Tom Jones and Jack Black.
