usually i make a nice sad, quiet, fall mix every year around this time. most of the time i'm up late at night and just grab a whole bunch of mp3's i want to listen to and throw it on a cd-r. but since most of my mixes have been pretty folk-y lately, i decided to make this one like i make most of my mixes (with my stand-alone burner -- kinda like making a mix tape. it's, in essence, a 1x speed burner so i listen to each song as it's recording). this mix was largely inspired by a few songs, including the palace cover, the eels song (which is from the fantastic daniel johnston tribute which just came out that i highly recommend), and the richard buckner song, which is currently being used perfectly for some car commercial.
