Comment:

Upon reading the title, one might expect the mix to be filled to the brim with the Ramones, The Clash, the Sex Pistols and the whole shebang of punk rock music. Oh well.
She may or may not like a lot of the music. I'm still not sure. There is only one way to find out. However, before she can decide whether or not she likes any or all of these tracks, she must first listen to it, right?
I didn't want to beat around the bush, so I start it off with the Velvet Underground's "Sister Ray", 17-plus minutes of lovely, unadulterated art. "Sister Ray" just beat out a selection from Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music."
You might ask, "Why the hell would you start a mix off like that?" My response would point out that if she could stand track one, she's gotta be a keeper. That's not to imply that the VU suck (because they're one of my favorite bands), but thinking realistically, a whole lot of people would simply pop the tape out after three minutes and not bother listening to the rest of it (believe me, I know from past experience).
Side 2 starts off with a small taste of the wonderful work of Ennio Morricone. It's followed with a Miles Davis track (because I'm not sure if she likes jazz or not).
Basically, this is a test...

If she passes that test, she's definitely a keeper. Cool mix, quality stuff.

Lots of good stuff here. An interesting opener but if she digs you know you've got a keeper! I like side 1 quite a bit. Good mix.
