Comment:

Continuing the seemingly never ending series of music from my youth. Songs of love, social concerns and random weirdness. The title is from Jim Pepper's Native-American band that had a minor hit in 1968. He went on to play with Ornette Coleman, Don Cherry and Charlie Haden and his peyote chant song went on to be a surprising "hit" for Nordic saxophonist Jan Garbarek.

Hmmm...looks like I was about 11 when most of these were released...but that doesn't mean it's not a great batch o' tunes. Nice one!

This one hits home George. I haven't thought about Dave Mason in years-I do have that LP somewhere. I have been thinking about using that Melanie tune.

Wow, fantastic - I really like the look of this one. The Zombies -> end stretch is great, and I have a bit of a soft spot for that Sandpipers rendition! Also, apologies for commenting late.

How amazing. In my life, I have never met anyone who has even heard 'Then Play On'. Rattlesnake shake?
