Comment:

Another nostalgic trip & a possible recreation of the origin of the series inspired by the recent London Calling reissue. Anyone else get duped into buying that one? This marks a record five times that I've bought the damned thing; the original vinyl release, another copy after I discovered my first one was missing the lyric sheet, the crappy sounding first CD version, the much improved remaster & now this one. I can't detect any sonic improvements between this latest version & the last one & I'll likely never listen to or watch the additional material more than once. Even so, I'm certain I'll feel the urge to purchase every future repackaging & formatting that will inevitably appear regularly for the rest of my life up until the implantation of a Clash chip into my brain.

Takes me back to the New Wave days. When I go to cover "page cannot be found". Looks like a great mix.

You can never have too much Outdoor Miner.I thought the London Calling demos were pretty uninspiring. Was it just my copy, or did they sound like they were recorded on a cheap boom box?

As Sean says, 'Everything here a winner.' I remember spending a whole day chasing down an orange copy of 'Dayglow' back when I was a kid!

oooh, this is fabulous. AND the image is appearing - and what a great cover that is! I love so much of this - especially The Only Ones, Talking Heads, X-Ray Spex, Specials, etc. etc. And don't worry, I think that, as music obsessives, we all suffer from the compulsion to buy re-edited, re-packaged things which we don't REALLY need, but goddamnit, we're completists and are comfortable with it thankyouverymuch. I forgive you, especially if you're going to continue making stuff like this! And I am very sorry for commenting so late (various computer problems!)
