Comment:
For Magpie and Blackadder. 1> You know that anxiety you feel when a new band you adore puts out their follow-up, and while you don't expect it to suck exactly, you kind of feel like you want to throw up before you hit the play button, because you realize you're probably about to get your heart broken? Right, well, the new Interpol makes me want to fuck Carlos D's bass and tweak Sam Fogarino's bass drum like a nipple. In other words, anxiety go bye-bye. 2> My favorite moment on this mix is the segue from track 4 to 5 -- the outro of 4 is a sample from Issac Hayes' version of "Walk On By", which happens to be the main loop in "2Wicky." It's super cool, according to my husband. 3>I have always loathed solo Morrissey -- and not passively, either, but actively despised. I am here with my slice of humble pie to say that his new album has become one of my favorites of the year. It makes me sing along with a histrionic whine -- damn you, Moz!Feedback:
Love the Cooper Temple Clause track (they often played in my local pub when I lived in England)With you re Mozza too. There's quite abit on here I'm not familiar with but that just makes the mix even more enticing!
This looks pretty cool.
Sweet.
nice mix
Know many of the artists but few of the cuts. Looks fascinating.
Looking mighty good.
Great mix and a great stretch from the Cooper Temple Clause to Interpol. How's the Roland..?
Don't know much here, but it looks great!
Ah yes, 'tis difficult to resist Morrissey eventually! And I love that Interpol comment - I felt pretty much exactly the same way, and placed Antics into my stereo with trembling fingers. But all is well in my little post-punk world now. :) I love so much on this mix, I have to say - the Lamb, Rapture, Cure, CTC tracks all rule, and I'd love to hear some of these segues. Nice job, yet again!
