Comment:
Me and my on-again, off-again girlfriend broke up again. It's hard to hear the same sad songs over and over again, so this is some newer stuff that makes me think of the relationship we had.Feedback:
Why do break-ups always yield the best music in one way or another? "The Scientist" is a perfect selection, and The Faces and Blind Melon really define the "thinking back on our relationship" thing you mentioned in your comments. Franz Ferdinand may be a little TOO peppy for what it looks like you're aiming for here, but it's still an enjoyable song so either way. Cuts by Elliott Smith, Jeff Buckley, Pete Yorn, Jon Brion, Badly Drawn Boy, and especially Ben Folds fill out the rest of the mix quite nicely. Good work
