Comment:

One of my more recent mixes in the period piece series I've done so far from the late '50s through the mid '60s. I'd like to mention at this point that Trey, my roommate, has been an asset in the creation of these mixes. Both in having access to his large collection and as a result of his time consuming chronicling of the songs by year I'm very grateful. As a tribute to his part in these compilations, I've inserted a song by Bert Kaempfert (his favorite musical composer & director) into this and one other of the six
period piece mixes I've posted so far. I look forward to creating mixes in the late '60s and early '70s, which I have a great fondness for.

Great collection! I especially like that Marvelows track (which as you know was not much known until J. Geils covered it) and the Marvin Gaye.
