Comment:
Needed some more heavy funk to cut through the bullshit of the next couple of days. Vote.Feedback:
Very. Hot.
Great funky tunes, George. Don't vote, it only encourages the bastards
a lot of this is funkadelia at its best. With regards to the elections over in the former colonies, funny as f*** is all I can say. Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire. Do you need us brits to come and take the reins again? (only joshing, what do I know?).
this is some groovy shit. i'm not really too familiar with the genre but you seem to hit on all the high notes.
Don't vote? Shit, man. I always vote. President, Governor, City Council, School Board, fuckin' dog catcher. I haven't missed an election in decades. And I hate all the motherfuckers who don't vote. The whining bastards. Line `em up and shoot them (just kidding). Really, if everyone voted we would get rid of the bastards but it's because people don't vote that we have (in America) corporate bastards buying slimy political bastards or Texas oil bastards where they all merge together. All those undecided. how fucking stupid can people actually be? Ignorant bastards.
And for you brits. we'll get rid of the cowboy and you get rid of his lap dog. (only joshing too, what do I know) and maybe we'll all get out of that frying pan.
Bastards!
Aaahhh that felt good. Now back to the funk.

Waiting with baited breath for tomorrow... meanwhile some great stuff here George.
I see Gobi's being cathartic again-bless him. I'm stuck in voting limboland now, don't qualify to vote anywhere; Still trying to get my head around the French political system??? Now then is this a music site oh yeh, great mix George; Isley Bros. & that stretch 11-14 do it for me!
I'm getting down with my bad funky self. As always George-terrific mix. Gerry, I got to go with George on this one. Please vote for change.
I'm with hemizen. All the way.
Very cool. Nice Gil pick.
Helllllllllllllllll yeah! John Kerry, vote!
Ha ha funky indeed...I too have been distracting myself with music, etc...
I think Osama's diatribe of last week is aptly summed up; my security is in my hands;
not Bush's or Kerry's or any one candidate in particular.
I surrender that security when I complain but do not act;
I abandon that security when I do not observe things around me and notify the
appropriate authorities;
I abdicate that security when I do not carry through with my right to vote
(and choose the candidate that I feel best has my interests and that of my
family in mind).
So "Thank you, Osama"; if there even was the slightest shred of doubt in the far
recesses of my mind as to my responsibility, you have cleared that up for me.
I will strike back at you, dog, tomorrow morning...with the touch of an electronic
screen.

nice looking mix and early TOP and Sly can't be beat. as with most people, here's hoping tomorrow will be a somewhat brighter day. and yes, even though it seems like our vote doesn't count, it certainly doesn't if you are too lazy to do so...........
Bullshit of the next couple of days? We might need a mix or two more - b/c w/the less-than-3d-world voting system in place in many of our otherwise fine (for the most part) states, it is gonna take months before the courts appoint the next president...then it'll likely wind up being four more years of bullshit......(sighs heavily) - Guilliani in 2008!
...oh yeah...KILLER mix!
Funktastik Mix George...one of my favourites from your canon!
George, again a great mix. All classic all the time. I'm wearin my George Clinton for Prez shirt right now. Free your mind and your ass will follow!!!
Wellllll....I'm very late here, and for that I apologise, and I also apologise for not being able to participate in the election. :) All the same, this is still one very funky mix, and I hope you're enjoying it despite the result. I know I would. Nice Gil Scott-Heron, and the beginning is fantastic.
