Comment:
I'm finally able to do one of these, thanks to the fantastic reissue of these blokes' two actual albums--both of which are classic, although I'd give Jane from Occupied Europe the nod. (Which one do you folks out there prefer?) Tracks 22 and 25 are combined to prevent the little glitch (approx 1/2 a second) that separates songs in my Nero program, even when I select "No Pause Between Tracks." Btw, if anyone has the Sleeping Star CD by Epic Soundtracks, please e-mail me.Feedback:
Nice stuff, Rob. I only know Read about seymour, so I'm quite interested in this one.
I will check this out, it looks appealing.
I too was so glad that Secretly Canadian re-issed some albums by this wonderful band. I only got into them because Steve Malkmus name-dropped them, but damn, I am glad he did...and subsequently rip them off on there early singles!
nice rob, i definitely dug moments of this band but i'd be curious to hear how you put this mix together if only for the fact that i really never granted them the time they could've occupied. i'll have to check back and see what i've missed of yours...
I haven't a clue here Rob, as Terry saidI'll have to check em out!
Haven't listened to either LP end to end in years, but am anxious to revisit them via the reissues. Can't think of anything missing here, so I give it ten thumbs up.
Fantastic - Rob, you always pick the best bands for SA mixes. Haven't actually listened to Swell Maps in a while, but I definitely will be digging them out after this. Read About Seymour is, of course, a great beginning - Whatever... to Blenheim Shots is really nice as well. And again, sorry, for the late comments.
