Comment:
Return with us now to those halcyon days of free love, cheap drugs, psychedelia, flower power, black power, women's lib, demonstrations, riots, war ....!.... OK, maybe not entirely halcyon. Laugh at the hippies all you want, but they got most things right: peace is better than war; love is better than hate; people should be judged by their deeds rather than their race, gender, religion, etc.; peoples' differences should not only be tolerated but celebrated; we should be free to pursue our own happiness as long as it doesn't harm anyone else; help people who need it and share what you've got with your brothers and sisters ....... sort of a Libertarian Socialism, if you can imagine that. Maybe we need a little more peace, love, and tolerance these days. "Hey punk, where you goin' with that flower in your hand?" What a beautiful collection of classics!
great classic stuff
Happily Hip...great cover & as P says classic stuff!
I love this mix. In the words of Jimi Hendrix "when the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace".
Nice. I'm all about Libertarian Socialism.
Been there, done that and all that stuff. You know I'm liken' this great mix.
cool!
"Don't Blame Me, I Voted Libertarian Socialist!"
Two of my favorite Mothers tracks, and a mess of other groovy tunes. Diggin' this indeed!
"I got to get back to the land and set me soul free". Terrifc mix!
Franklin, this mix is one toke over the line . . . but in a good way. "You got me floatin . . ."
Lovely!
completely and absolutely superb, Steve. Love all of this with a passion.
This is one far-out freak-out, baby! Love it!
This looks like a ton of fun. Five thumbs up!!
Lovely and brilliant!
celebrate this mix!
wow! I'm gonna repeat what I just said to George, "Got my ticket for the Magic Bus trip back to the Summer of Love(mind you it's a return ticket cos I'm loving all the top tunes being produced lately)I can smell the incense wafting around from this one. TrTs Bonne.
Great feel to this Steve - definitely has a good vibe! Good to see some unfamiliar to me such as 11 and 12.
far out, man. super great donovan and byrds picks.
A really really really great mix.
"Roll up, roll up...! Go Freewheeler!
Loving the Mothers and Commander Cody interspersed with the better-known bands and the cuts from Easy Rider (just listened to that soundtrack!)
Great! I especially like the first 28 songs. Although I've always thought you have to be high to listen that Holdy Modal Rounders song. And it's always nice to see a FabFurryFreakBrother cartoon.
