Comment:

Return with us now to those halcyon days of free love, cheap drugs, psychedelia, flower power, black power, women's lib, demonstrations, riots, war ....!.... OK, maybe not entirely halcyon. Laugh at the hippies all you want, but they got most things right: peace is better than war; love is better than hate; people should be judged by their deeds rather than their race, gender, religion, etc.; peoples' differences should not only be tolerated but celebrated; we should be free to pursue our own happiness as long as it doesn't harm anyone else; help people who need it and share what you've got with your brothers and sisters ....... sort of a Libertarian Socialism, if you can imagine that. Maybe we need a little more peace, love, and tolerance these days. "Hey punk, where you goin' with that flower in your hand?" Cover portrait by the amazing, incomparable, furry, freaky -- Gilbert Shelton.Peace and Love from Freewheelin' Franklin "Who cares if you're so poor you can't afford/To buy a pair of Mod A Go-Go stretch-elastic pants/There will come a time when you can even take your clothes off when you dance"--Frank Zappa

I love this mix. In the words of Jimi Hendrix "when the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace".

Great! I especially like the first 28 songs. Although I've always thought you have to be high to listen that Holdy Modal Rounders song. And it's always nice to see a FabFurryFreakBrother cartoon.
