Don't Forget Rooster Lady!
Comment:
June 2004. The dilemma: The Shins were playing a free instore at Waterloo at 5:00, but my sister and nephew were arriving at The Austin Bergstrom International Airport at 4:30. What to do? Well it's a no brainer. Pick up sis and nephew and drive straight to Waterloo. So far so good, right. Situation devolves as the Shins play almost 2 hours late. On the up side, the Shins played a full and fantastic set to make it up to us. However tired sis was, my dear nephew was thrilled to have his first Austin experience be, in his words, "a beer party at a record store." Now he's in high school, and I miss him. So I made him this mix. He may be loving high school for all I know. I am assuming that it sucks, but that's because I'm a pessimist.Hopefully his mother will forgive me for putting songs with "asshole" and "marijuana" in the lyrics.Feedback:
I like this mix. Also like the story and the theme behind it. I would like it even more if I knew ALL of the songs, but that takes nothing away from my enjoyment of this...
