Comment:
If my life had a soundtrack, this would be it. It is meant to be listened to from beginning to end, hopefully with a bottle and a joint nearby. It is a celebration of broken promises, dissapointment, excuses, and failure. Bjork reminds us that we are only in this to enjoy. Radiohead whispers about floating up and away from your dead end life. Rasputina, in a brilliant cover of PF, reminds us that misery loves company. Jonny Cash takes us on a journey back through his life in which he discovers: everyone I know goes away, in the end. Ultimately, they invite you to close your eyes, and dream of the life you might have had if you had passed that test, or went to that dance, or caught that ball. Withdraw from the ruins of trainwreck of your life, they whisper, and let your heart fill with longing as you visualize all the things that will never be. They hold obsession up as a virtue and assure us all that lust and longing will be our only comforts in this god forsaken world. Love is dead. Hope is dead. So relish that selfish, obsessed, perverse excuse for a meaningful life. After all, it's what you really wanted, isn't it?So, as Beck puts it, put your hand on the wheel, and let the Golden Age begin. Put the window down, feel the moonlight on your skin. And take a drive with me.

nice
It's The Sundays who sang 'Wild Horses' on there cd "Blind" and Mazzy Star sang 'Fade Into You' on there cd "So Tonight That I Might See".
Mazzy Star did do a cover of "Wild Horses", which was not originally done by The Sundays, but the rolling stones, is the version included on this disk. I am quite aware of who Mazzy Star is, and 'Fade Into You', which is not included on this mix either.
that rasputina track is one of my favorite all time covers. stay tuned!
