Another late night mix tossed together on the fly.Feedback:
Looks interesting. I'm liking 5 through 8, 11 and 12 quite a bit.
Nice! Looks pretty cohesive for a mix tossed together on the fly, George.
wow with an exception for the smashing pumkins, this is all great ones
absolutely superb. Love the primal scream especially.
A comment on my comment "tossed together on the fly". Sometimes I labor over a single mix for weeks at a time. Sometimes I have several mixes ongoing at various stages. Sometimes I abandon a mix and delete it from my hard drive. Sometime I will rework an older mix. And sometimes I go upstairs to my "music room" and start pulling CDs off the shelves and put together a mix from start to finish in one sitting. Tossed together on the fly without planning ahead or even thinking about the mix until I sit down at the computer. That is what I did with this mix but all my mixes are thoughtful and cohesive and are generally grouped in some broader theme or mood. However, I do check to see if I've used a song on a previous mix which I try to avoid. The holidays are coming and mixes make great gifts.
i really dig these selections.
like Sean says. Plus I can identify exactly with your modus operandi.
Great opener, great Primals tune, Psych Furs, Jam, Television and XTC... nice mix.
excellent stuff!...did you know Peter Perrett claimed he wrote "Out There In The Night" for his cat who ran away!?
Looks great.
I'm diggin' it, too.
ditto gobi!
Awesome and Brilliant! Great job!
We're definitely on the same wavelength here George, this could have been pooled from discs scattered abput my mix area this week! I love those kinda mixes that just readily come together, I'm never happier than when I'm sat on the floor burried beneath a pile of cd's that I know I can compile a mix from.
sounds like most of our moments putting the "sounds" together. nice looking mix and yours will be there later next week. thanks for your comments also!!!
Got some old fav's here George..., best wishes.
Some of my favorite trax from some of my favorite albums - yes - ALBUMS - big, black slabs of vinyl greatness...
Looks like a great collection.
I always hope to "toss together" mixes that flow like this. Great cover, as well.
