this mix was made to be a brief introduction to many of the lesser known women singer/songwriters. it includes bjork + pj's cover of the rolling stone's satisfaction because that track is so damn great and I don't have it on cd anywhere ... I removed the jane monheit track in later versions because it doesn't really fit. it's very jazzy/easy listening and most of the rest of it is more folk/punkrock.Feedback:

mm..i'm lovin tegan & sara too. i really want to get my hands on their first album though, grr. another good unknown you may want to check out is jonatha brooke.
the only thing you seem to be missing is some holly mcnarland. nice mix though.
jen wood, holly mcnarland, jonatha brooke ... all good suggestions. they were all initially on my list, actually, but I had to cut it down :) as it is the CD is nearly 80 minutes. but perhaps there should be a v2? thanks for the comments everyone :)
oh, I'll be glad to do some trades if anyone is interested in copies ... I'd love other 'unknown women' type mixes of similar singer/songwriters ... I've also been completely zine crazy lately, so I'd love a copy of your (or your friend's) zine in exchange. or just about anything really, be creative, I'm flexible ..
