Comment:

Way back in the 90s. This mix was inspired by Rob's recent "indie" rock of the 90s. So I dug into my CDs to come up with some so called "indie" rock of the 90s using Pavement and Guided By Voices as a starting point. One ringer from the 80s slipped in when I misread a cover. No major labels and looked for a certain rockin' feel. Not a best of but this mix does rock and really needs to be played loud. Some of this stuff is probably fairly obscure. It all has an edge or attitude. Does that make it "indie"? I had lots more CDs piled up around the computer so I think another volume will follow shortly. This was fun. Oh, the photo is of one of the several CD shelves in my "music room". I stared at it for a while before grabbing any CDs.

Wow - some real treats here. A real fave Wreckless Eric track. Pink Slip Daddy, Pontiac Bros.... and more. A few bands that my old band opened for, too!

Good for you, and like g.a.b. l@bs says, it's an impressive wall of sound. Love Wreckless Eric - he supported the Ruttles last night in Windsor - but it sold out before i could get into town (capacity 550!)
