Comment:

I'm sure this type of mix has more or less been done many times before, but I am doing this one as an average, not terribly religious college student taking a bit of inspiration from the Goodbye, Babylon boxed set, which I think can show just about anyone that religious music was very good before bands like Creed and P.O.D ruined it. I tried to get a wide-range of religion-inspired (or at least somewhat inspired) music, from the celebratory and the storytelling to the sarcastic and ideal questioning. I tried to put on a wide range of genres from a wide range in years.

I love it! Great job. I am a relavitely religious college student, but I love things that explore and question religion, rather than just accept everything as...well, as the "Gospel truth." ;D Great mix of old and new - classic and cutting-edge modern, and many different genres represented. I like it, and I'd like to hear it. And now I'm thinking of songs I'd include in my own version of the mix.

There have been a few, not a huge number, of takes on religion on AOTM - see my exhibit on religion & music for other takes (yours has been added) I like the wide range of genres & time span.

Excellent. The Welch/Kraus through Sufjan Stevens stretch is especially appealling.
