Comment:
Partly inspired by Gilles MacKinnon's 1996 film Small Faces, and in particular one set piece. It's Glasgow in the late 60s and 13 year old Lex steals a very sharp Ben Sherman shirt, then wears it to a club where there's a groovy band, girls in short skirts and local hard nut Malkie Johnson. obviously I've run with the theme a bit. Plus a little seasonal stuff to start and finish. Happy holidays to AOTMers all.Feedback:
Loved the film & love the mix.
Don't know the film, but this mix looks absolutely great!
FANTASTIC. Is this the mix you told me to look out for? If so, I can see why--classics all around, plus a cool theme.
Great stuff indeed.
Very nice stuff!
Oh boy, this mix looks amazing. And I actually saw "Small Faces" about a month and a half ago! Great mix.
Yes, very nice selections. I need to check out that film.
Very nice, especially the final half of side one - and the Francoise Hardy, always yummy. Makes me want to see the film.
Oooh, very nice indeed - I, too, should check out that film. I love just about everything on this - seriously. Especially the Wire, Smiths, Jam, Hardy and Concretes picks.
Great stuff. Love the Jam through Bobbie Gentry stretch especially.
Nice =)
Glesga' kicks much a$$...and so does this!
Ditto French!
Love the Velvets through Association run. -Dale
