Comment:
For the hell of it. And it has nothing to do with Christmas. The odd thing about this one is that I don't even especially *like* "5:15" or "Cosmik Debris" (although I don't dislike them, either), but each was in my head over the past week; in fact, all of these songs have been in my head at one time or another recently, hence their inclusion. Title from the first line of the Morrissey song.Feedback:
Excellent. Love the Fall track (natch) and Zappa through Cohen closing especially.
Some choice stuff here. And my fave Elvis tune!
Totally dig The Fall, The Blue Nile, The Doors and Leonard Cohen choices, Great.
"The Teachers Are Afraid of the Pupils" no way man, even if my students kicked in my mailbox the other night (true), hope you're fine and a merry x-mas to ya
Well.........I love the two tracks yyou mentioned and the rest of this is quite superb! Merry Christmas, Rob.
tries to imagine a Kraftwerk to Willie Nelson transition
head explodes

Bon melange Rob, I'll be in touch after the festivities have a good un.
Great looking Melange...love the opener & closer..also the Elvis Track is a personal fave!
This looks super-good, Rob. Gotta love that Fall track and the rest looks great too. Hope you and yours have a Merry Xmas.
Rockin' good stuff, Rob. The Who & Zappa picks are fine by me. It's the Doors that I find questionable, but some Germs & Fall more than make up for that. Hope you're well & having a happy holiday.
Really nice Rob. I love the mid-section, 7-11, and the Furnaces.
Yeah, I like the Doors as a band less than I like Zappa and waaaaaaaay less than I like the Who (who, in their earlier years, are one of my few favorite bands). I do, however, like the Doors song on this mix better than those two songs.
Yeah, Morrissey kicking it all off: that's what we like to see! Looks great, Rob - I love your "for the hell of it" mixes - and I especially like 1-9 and 14 here.
There's a lot here that I love. Great looking mix.
Some good stuff here - now 5:15 is in my head for the rest of the day - thanks. OUT OF MY BRAIN ON THE TRAIN!
wow, it is amazing to see this many great songs at once!! that is morrissey in proggest mode and the fall song of all time... the MC5 song is of their best album!!
