Comment:

2004 the year that was less shitty than 2003 but not half as good as 2001 and 2002. new music. whatever. all i bought this year were reissues of old bands for the most part. 2004 was the year that i realized that i am truly old and set in my ways and i only really wanna listen to albums by bands that no longer exist. it's a telling sign when the 3 tours i was most excited about this year were Morrissey, The Cure, and The Pixies. whatever there were still some great records that came out this year by young bands. this is just a quick sample from some of the years best (for me).

Yes! Someone else who put ...Trail Of Dead on their best of 2004 mix. I knew I wasn't the only one who liked this song. Great year end mix, btw.

First off, really fantastic mix. I was in the same boat, buying mainly reissues or older records, but there were some good records put out this past year. Secondly, I saw The Ponys live recently in Brooklyn. Amazing. Non stop, loud, mind blowing. They ended it with a very Sonic Youth-esque noise/feedback orgy. I highly recomend that everyone check them out.
