a wintery mix for a friend. mostly melancholoy with some danceable tracks methodically mixed in. always got to keep a list of short tracks, like bikini kill's 'new radio' on hand to fill in the ends of a side. i know she appreciates great, underappreciated, female songwriters, so i introduced her to jolie rickman, rose polenzani and rosie thomas. then there are dykey favorites (team dresch, lesbians on ecstacy), 90s (breeders, soul asylum) and wonderful, mellow, winter singers (mascott, neil young, bright eyes, neutral milk hotel).
