Comment:

Thanks to the good folks at Spectropop and Tweedledum, I collected bunches of obscure 60s pop songs, and finally sorted thru to create a CD's worth of the best. ["Best" is solely determined by my personal judgment, which tends to favor up-tempo tracks with clever lyrics.]

According to the sites, none of these are now commercially available. Some were never released in the first place. But every single one of them could have and would have and should have been a smash hit!

Great choices here - I have heard 3-4 of them - If you'd like to trade a mix disc please let me know as I could use this :)

lotsa nice choices, and many songs here which deserved to be hits. Well chosen idea for a mix.

wonderful! i would add "live" by the merry go round and "let the sunshine in" by the love generation. easily top 10, with the right marketing (which is all it was really) keep up the good work! :)

Would trade for this in the blink of an eye! I'm all about up-tempo and clever (preferable too-clever-by-half).

This does look great, and like many of the others here, I'd love to trade for a copy as well. I wish I had discovered Spectropop when it first started, since their files are often a goldmine full of unreleased gems.

A great list of "could-have-been & shoulda's" Mixxer. Good go. I'm only familiar with a few...

Huh! (slack jawed stare of astonishement) - this stuff is all way off my radar -- but if you say it's better than Tommy Roe's "Dizzy" (#1 in 1969), then I have to believe you.
But the only way I'm going to know for sure is if I can trade you something for this & hear it for myself . . .

I'm with jdv on this! Slack-jawed big time... And again, like jdv, if there's anything I can trade you for this, please, let me know!

Don't know a lot here, but I do know that some of the world's greatest tunes are Shoulda-been-a-hits. Lemme know if you're up for a swap once the line for this one dies down.

nice to see a sixties mix that isn't the stones and the byrds and the same 15 songs we've all heard a million times before.

Just boppin' around perusing some older mixes (taken a quick break at work)...happened upon this.

This is an absolute stunner. Lots of "new to me's" adding to favorites for reference.

Bravo and applause.

I thought I was the only one in the WORLD who bought and thought All's Quiet on West 23rd should have been a smash.

This looks beyond amazing. I would LOVE to hear these tracks! About 5 years ago, I stumbled upon the Model's "Bend Me, Shape" and have been searching for it ever since (without success)...Beyond that, I know none of this...As such, FANTASTIC work!
