Comment:
A healthy dose of short, sweet punches from a criminally overlooked power pop outfit. Their '98 debut, Life On Planet Earsnot, was the best approximation of pre-Rubber Soul Beatles ever produced by an American band, an essential collection of 2-minute, 3-chord British Invasion-styled joy. Their 4 subsequent albums may have a bit less magic, but offer plenty of quality sounds for fans of popmeisters from Badfinger through Matthew Sweet.Feedback:
Once again Marc.A great mix.Have a good new year.
i'm a huge fan of planet eartsnop - a lost powerpop classic. haven't hooked up with their others so this looks quite tasty. thanx for hooking up the brah!
Completely unfamiliar to me. Guess I'll have to change that.
nice tribute - cool little pop band.
Never heard of them, but I trust your judgement. Always great to see lesser known bands get the "single artist" treatment.
nope, never heard of these - , but i trust your recommendation and will go research (you AOTMers really keep me busy in that regard).
This lot appeared on a mix I was sent recently, and I liked them a lot, so it's cool to see them acknowledged on an entire SA mix. I'll definitely have to check them out more.
