Comment:

I'd originally planned a more wide-ranging mix, with some early demos and live tracks, maybe some solo stuff... but last year's reissues of the two original albums (plus the amazing Live At The Old Waldorf disc) sound so great, and the boots are so rough, that the contrast was too jarring. So I stuck with a basic run through the two original albums, some live tracks, and a couple token tracks from the '92 reunion disc (which isn't too bad, though it sounds more like Dire Straits than classic Television). Pretty tough to cut anything from the remarkable Marquee Moon, so it was something of a struggle.

Nice. I did something that looks almost exactly like this in the summer of '02 ("So thin between my bones and skin").

Nice mix--the opening track will always be one of my favorites. You've inspired me to pull out my Television albums and listen to them today.

Good job.. . . and (regarding the boot legs)I know what you mean about transitioning between 'rough sounding' and 'great sounding' tracks - this is exactly the reason I find it so difficult to slip Neil Young onto mixes (even when he is so great) - his albums all need remastering IMHO - too quiet and the jarring excessive.

Loved them. I was lucky enough to see them live at the Roxy on Sunset strip prior to their second album. It knocked me out. Hope all is well with you.

Very nice! Marquee Moon is one of the all time greatest songs ever. Then again so are Venus, See No Evil ....
