Comment:

Well, yes. I am a dork.

But while we're at it. I did try when making this not just to find songs that sounded like their characters, but which had some other connection. For example, Johnny Cash, the voice of grit and hardship and a certain pattern of dangerousness, makes a pretty good Logan for that reason as well as his hoarsening voice. It's nice to reflect Rogue's Southern background with a country song, Cyclops' too-clean nature with the Beach Boys, etc. And it was fun to separate the heroes from their alternate identities, because they're rarely alike.

Oh, man...that's so great! I TOTALLY see "Tank!" for Jubilee! If you ever make a sequel, you HAVE to do a song for my favorite--Angel. Even if it's him as Archangel. I would recommend another Yoko Kanno song, "Sora," from "Escaflowne."

interesting. a lot of the songs connect to the characters only by a substantial stretch of imagination, i gotta admit, but taken apart from that, it's a good mix regardless.

I really like this. :) My favorite is your choice for Cyclops. At first glance, you go, "huh?" but it makes sense.

You know I love this mix. It is positively too cool for words and the reasoning behind the choices is perfect. The fact that the songs segue from track to track well is an added bonus that makes me a bit rageously jealous of your capabilities. Awesome, possum.

I can't believe I never commented on this--I especially like your Magneto and Wolverine choices, and the saddish sound of the Magnetic Fields track fits Rogue well, too.
