Comment:

So Januray is upon us, and so brings the time for optimism. Januray is the month of possibilities...where you can turn your entire life around, change what you don't like, and so on. This sort of feeling needs upbeat music, a radical shift from the down-tempo songs of December. You need something to help you get out of bed in the morning and not smoke, not eat junk, save your money, get in shape, and keep every other crazy ass resolution you made. Case you're wondering, track one is from the movie GHOST WORLD, its the ditty that plays while Thora Birch is dancin' round her room at the beginning. I also HAD to include that Death Cab song...I mean after all, the darned thing starts out with the line "So this is the new year". Indeed here's to 2005...year of the rooster...up and at 'em people.

the killers have quickly become one of my favorite bands.. and mr. brightside is one of reason why. And deathcab is always high on my list. great job =D

Wow, this is truly great. Kind of a celebration of last year in some ways, too...tracks 12-18, especially (some were new songs in '04, others were by older bands that toured). And I'd kill for track 1.

I happened to listen to "The New Year" today, and what a perfect time to do so. Also, yay for the Smashing Pumpkins, Franz Ferdinand, and Pixies choices.

Very nifty. Any mix that starts out with Jaan Pehechaan Ho already gets my seal of approval. I think the Death Cab song is mandatory for a January mix now along with Long December (my "cheating" song, lol).

Death Cab For Cutie, Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day, Sloan, Smashing Pumpkins & U2 songs are all great - Like I mentioned this mix has inspired me to put together my own mix with the same Death Cab & Pilots song as well as a Devo song - I had the same Green Day song on it but I pulled it. It was a fitting selection though since one line is something like 'From Chicago to Toronto'. I really dig that GHOST WORLD movie - I always grin when I think of it's dripping sarcasm. I also just remembered and put that Pumpkins song on the 'ol iPiddidle - This is a friggin' sweet mix my friend!!
