Comment:

I know, I know - The Beach Boys' catalog has been anthologized ad nauseum. My goal was to create a comprehensive compilation that chronicled their music from the beginning through 1980. It grew into this three-disc set, which I feel represents that eighteen-year period better than anything that has been officially released thus far. Disc three of three. All tracks are in stereo.

Missing my two fave "Love You" tracks: "Johnny Carson" and "Solar System." Ah well.

I almost put "Solar System" on the compilation, actually, but it didn't make the final cut. I had to have "All This Is That."

isn't the point of a best of to collect the artist's most outstanding songs onto one disc or tape?

Not necessarily. Many artists whose careers span multiple decades have compilations that span at least two discs.

Wow! This band must be pretty good to merit three discs. I'll have to check them out.

Moe - I think this is the band that the guy who just released Smile was in a long time ago.

Vinz, I've taken your advice and added "Johnny Carson." It replaces the annoying "Rock And Roll Music" cover.
