Comment:
This CD starts out kind of angry, but dissolves into more depressing music. It starts out with 32 Flavors which is underlyingly angry at how people treat people with good intentions, and the Be Good Tanyas follow it up with In Spite of All of the Damage. The next two songs show that happiness can come from sorrow. The Ani Difranco and PJ Harvey come out again and show their more upbeat rock side, and the CD gets charged with energy. Then artists like Azure Ray mellow out the mood a bit, to make it not-so-angry. Then there's more Ani Difranco, Azure Ray, and Indigo Girls dealing with politics, sexuality, and the feeling of being in love. It mellows out a bit with November by Azure Ray, which deals with perception, and then it blasts back with even more Ani Difranco and the Indigo Girls. Though these deal with not being ashamed of who you are, even if you don't fit in.
A bit more Indigo Girls, Ghost being the second song from the last. But Fiona Apple makes a bit of an apperance before then with Criminal. Finishing up my mix CD was Lisa Loeb's Do You Sleep? which is just a really creepy song to me.
Feedback:
I had to do a double take when I saw this mix listed, because my first name is Ion and I post lots of all women mixes (see my girlie pop mixes). Anyway, welcome to the site and props on the mix!
That's what I thought Ion (that you'd changed gears and were using your 1st name now).
I 2nd that "Welcome"...another Jerseyite mixer on board can't be bad,
;-)
(btw, Moe...a winner has been declared).

With Ani Difranco and P.J. Harvey, is it possible to go wrong? No; no it isn't.
Awesome!
Awesome!
Got fooled too, a great mix non-the-less.
