Comment:
Tonights Double Feature: Side 1 is a mish mash of Ska, Blues, R'n'Roll, late Motown...oooh & Frankie Laine Side 2 is a mish mash of Atlantic Soul, Tamla, Capitol, Hi etc Soul..or at least what you might find under The Soul Racks unless you shop at my local emporium where nothing's where you'd expect it! Enjoy!Feedback:
This looks like great fun!
Marvelettes Mah_velous !
You know how I love my Motown! This ALL looks good.
I love a good soul mix.
Just awesome, as per usual, Dom. I'm especially diggin' Wanda thru La Vern on side 1, and the closing four on side 2. And I love the sort of gently evolving (like fish into birds in an Escher print) themes.
Hurts so good!
This looks great. You're not going to believe this, but I had every intention of using that exact Stones song on my next mixed-genre mix. I hope you don't mind if I still go through with that...
This is great, D! If that other cassette hasn't left for my house, I'd like this too!
the other side is killing time
Always had a soft spot for Frankie Laine. "Dom, can you see that clear blue sky, where the water's running free & it's waiting there for you & me." Sorry got carried away there, as always my friend, strange, eclectic & effing brilliant!
The consistent high quality of your mixes truly impresses me, Dom. Hats off to you for a mix that is undoubtedly transfixing. Wonderful!
once again, a superb bunch of trax!
Bee... sweet... hurt... a mix!
Wow.
Wonderful! The first side looks absolutely delicious. How do you manage to keep this up? I salute you :)
Inspired connections, Dom. Superb stuff!
This is a really inspired flaw-less mix!
totally agree! this has my best-favored beach boys song!
...for smokin' when things get smokin'...
Crikey, another one when I'm bowled over by the links and connections. Like Siobhan says, 'how do you manage to keep this up?' Viagra?
Splendid you mean boy.
Terrific. I think I want to go to that emporium.
