Comment:
Title from Richard Howard's "A Phenomenon of Nature."...Oh for God's Sake, Sophie, speak, speak...You cannot 'bother' me. I am no
companion for myself. I must not
be alone with myself - that is why
I write : to write is to say I am
not the only one. But even here
above the blue surge and the white surf,
I am the Babylon I must go
out of, or I perish...Do you know
why I let you lure me back to this -
this nature you celebrate so much,
this wrack and ruin of rock and sea?
Do you know why I am ready, now,
for what was ruin to become model?
Because nature is already there.
Because I do not have to make it.
'To Capri then I came'...an old man
exhausted by his own energies....
Feedback:
Great liner notes but O recognize the Steve Lacy-so is that a mistake?
Zero known..though I've heard of Jansch & Hussain!Ever interesting!
this thing is AMAZING
I'd love to hear 3, 7 and 8 ... the rest are as obscure to me as usual. : )
Nice to see Bert Jansch on a mix. And Steve Lacy. And the rest? You keep surprising me . . .
looking very unfamiliar to medon't think I've heard a single tune here
Exactly whay Thomas Mohr says.
Only heard of Bert Jansch.
I know very little here, Curtis...but the notes and the titles makes this one even more intriguing than ususal (and THAT's saying A LOT!!!). Wow.
Ditto GMac (ditto-ing Mohr).
Where DO you get these artists? I see none of them at Best Buy.Can you suggest one of your mixes that is very dreamy, say that one might want on the boombox at a quiet picnic by a stream?
Falls off his seat, in recognition of track 3. That's it though.
Nice to see Nagisa Ni Te get a shout! and I bet they go nice with Bert Jansch...
Beautiful Curtis. Dig the bells!
as always (almost) . . . . ouside looking in!one of these days I would like to trade if possible. I need educating.
Beautiful. Like the Bert Jansch, and the comments.
