Collected PJ Harvey, Disc One of Two. The hardest thing about a single artist mix is deciding which tracks to include or exclude. The second hardest is track order. The third hardest is listening to all those albums, singles, bootlegs, etc. after making the CD and deciding that you should have including other songs, etc.This is a rather late birthday gift for my former college roommate who caught the PJ bug from my repeated listenings and insistence that I get new albums the day they came out. It's a good intro to someone unfamiliar with the singer and her band, and it's got enough rare stuff for a long-time fan.Dry, Rid Of Me and Four Track Demos are recorded very quietly, which makes for odd differences in sound level. I normalized the files before buring the CD, but if anyone has any suggestions about raising sound levels on quietly recorded music, please share!
