Wasn't he on Cherry Red's Pillow & Prayers? I'm not at all familiar with his work...have to check him out.

Just found out myself as well. I'm only familiar with his recent stuff & have been meaning to check out his earlier works. Might have to add this to that long discussed trade in progress.

You just found out? He died over 3 months ago! Since he'd been living in Nuremberg for about 20 yrs, he was probably biggest in Germany. Most of his interesting work (incl., btw, an album recorded with the Ruts) was done in the late 70s/early 80s, tho. Andy Summers played guitar in his band before he joined The Police.

Nice choice for a single artist mix, Peter. We have to trade again soon, my friend.

Great stuff....I was gonna do an "unsung heroes" tape of him,but this has damn-near everything i'd have picked except "Sugar Candy Taxi" & "Saviour"

I haven't heard much of Coyne's stuff, but what I have heard, I've really liked. This looks like a lovely tribute.

Now that I've received this mix and have finally *heard* Kevin Coyne (after reading about him in rock encyclopedias for years), I have to weigh in: a fantastic mix, with every song capable of making me stop what I am doing to listen. I am utterly ashamed that I haven't bought his records; if they're this great, I need the whole catalog. Great job, Peter.
