Okay, dood, I got it. You probably thought you've been a trifle too poppy recently, so . . . ;) But, seriously, you can't go wrong with Steve Lacy, Peggy Lee, Fred Frith or Marc Ducret. I have no idea about the rest, but I fully trust your tase and judgment.
Now this's what I'm talkin' about!
It should be mentioned, by the way, that this ain't your mother's Peggy Lee (this is the cellist not the incomparable vocalist).
Way too Poppy for my tastes..I mean that dude Courvoisier may not be shakin' up the charts over here but he's so retro....interesting as ever!
Complete mystery to me, but I'm sure it's interesting. I really like the name Dylan van der Schyff.
I see fellow Vancouverites Peggy and Dylan (Pegs and Dyl) all the time (you know, in the street; can't say I actually know them). This is actually one mix I know 1/3 of the music (or at least the players). Looks interesting.
A little too main stream for me with the Steve Lacy and Marilyn Crispell but whatever....
Exactly what Thomas Mohr says!
Looks like a great moment from Oliver Lake.
Uh... beats me... but I'm sure it's quite fine. I know that I like other Steve Lacy stuff, so I'm sure that's a great start.
I think I know perhaps one track on here, but in any case, this does look absolutely excellent (as ever!) Haven't heard no. 1 but I do like Penderecki being in charge, so I'll have to check that out. Thanks as always for the edification! :)
Okay, I am 100% lost...
Looks superb, Curtis.
I agree, Dont know all but 5 stars for Oliver Lake.
