Comment:

Kinda silly, but it was fun to assemble. Tried to stick largely with songs name-checking fellow rockers, but threw in a couple actors as well.

that seems like it would've been hard to assemble. Love the Sleater-Kinney song though

Great job. I've thought about this too, but never carried through. Love that Uncle Tupelo track expecially.

Love the looks and sounds of this Marc, though you could have killed two songs with one stone if you had used Barbara Manning's "Mark E. Smith and Brix" instead of the Jazz Butcher ;)

Great idea. Even the actors you mention recorded albums. Jerry Lewis put out "Jerry Lewis Just Sings" in the fifties and Michael Caine put out an album as well. I just looked it up in AMG and Michael Caine reads the story "King Midas and the Golden Touch" with accompaniment by Ellis Marsalis and Yo-Yo Ma. Cool mix all around.

Marc - what about "Brian Wilson" by Bare Naked Ladies.Oh, by the way, at a bistro the other day Paris Hilton happened to mention that she like this mix.
