Comment:
Born 1942, Keeler is the model/showgirl whose involvement with a government minister discredited the conservative government of Harold Macmillan in 1963. Through Dr Stephen Ward, Keeler, came into contact with the Secretary Of State for War John Profumo. Profumo entered into an affair with Keeler, not suspecting that she had also been introduced to a Russian diplomat by Dr Stephen Ward.Keeler was briefly imprisoned for her part in the affair. Stephen Ward committed suicide before he could be convicted. A movie was later made 'Scandal' starring Joanne Whalley-Kilmer as Christine Keeler. Enjoy!
Feedback:
Man, you really captured a time and place. Haven't heard that name in a while but I remember. This is a wild mix.
This looks f-ing amazing. Love to see Morcambe and Wise on a mix. And there's some decent jazz on here, too, which of course I like to see. Sucks you don't do your thang on CD.
Fantastic!!!
FANTASTIC topic and great mix. One of my favorites of yours... I've long been fascinated by Ms. Keeler.
Mang! I'm with all of the below ... great stuff .. sigh
Wonderful!
exactly what George said!
Fantastic Dom! If you get the time to make me a copy, I'd love to have this. (If you don't see anything you like in my mixes, I should have some new ones soon-ish.)
fab and that song from the film by Dusty Springfiled are not bad either
Rock On With Me indeed! Keeler was topical news day I was born. This looks great Dom.
She was a naughy lady, this is a naughty mix! Quite superb. Right folks, let's start a "Let's buy Dom a cd writer" club! (Hint Hint)
Who needs Kylie? Awesome mix Dom.
What a great concept! As always, fabulous mix accompanying it - the first side is especially lovely, but I like the Gainsbourg and Hardy on the other side too.
This is kill-ah. That's my fave Etta James track (and I love pretty much anything that woman does) & the side two street from Franciose to Tito is solid gold. Yet another winner from Dom!!
Man
"conquers", then is conquered; nicely executed.

In the immortal words of Peter Sellers: "Mashie me mogler with a thin crippler! We shall have to take a chance, that's all, and in that order!"
Twist all night, Christine!
