Comment:
Been meaning to do a Bad Ass Bass mix for sometime now, when I'm listening to music I always seem to follow the bass. Had so many tunes think this will run for 3 or 4 volumes. Thanks to Joe Gillis1 for trax 5 & 11.Feedback:
Please, please can I trade for this?
the first four are killing stuff, the rest looks good too
Bouncing!
Nice; and bass is the place...I often listen to a song several times in a row, following the bass & drum lines until I achieve a neural imprint.
Gothlicious!
Looks great, Cliff. I too tend to follow the bass in a song. A lot of Olivia Tremor Control songs have great bass lines like "Jumping Fences".
This looks really, really cool, my friend.
Fantastic idear and great leadoff mix. Here's hopin' this runs for 5 or 6 volumes.
I'm always a sucker for a big thumping bass line, so ditto CurtisQuite a lot here is new to me, so I'll look forward to hearing it.
Always liked those bands that mix the throb up to the front. Bitchin' Indeed!
Beautifully Baddd...mmm!(the line of the spine) Great to see also that "Vol.1" suggests further incursions into this Booming Sonic territory! Man the apparatus! Lower, lower, lower-DIVE!
classics one and all
whew. sweetness.
Very groovy indeed - I don't use that word often, but somehow it seems appropriate here. :) Love: the Snow Patrol, Clash (although my favourite Clash song with bass is Guns of Brixton), Shop Assistants and J&MC. Will get in touch with you about trading soon, but this definitely looks like it would be a good candidate!
Great idea for a mix. Better yet, a series. Looking forward to those that follow.
this looks really good!!!
Bad Ass Bass... man, that could be great series and this looks really cool.
This whets my appetite for volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, & 9. Would La Poste be up for facilitating a trade, perhaps?
Ex-cell-ent.
i fuckin' love it. being a bass player myself, i am always listening to the bass lines in songs, and your selections are definitely choice. the next volume should include primus, tho.
This is such a great listen-can't wait for Vol 2!
And what a fine bitch this is! Thanks for sending it my way. If there were cows nearby, I'd have soured their milk with this already!
Monsieur...Thanks for the nice comments recently...This mix looks excellent. I've always been a sucker for a clever bass line. Seems to be the instrument of choice for eloquent statements and simply put articulation. I've always loved the basslines in just about every Primal Scream number. Rock on!
