Gillian heard and liked "Stereo," so she asked me for a mix of Pavement songs, and this is what I whipped up within a few hours. Mostly chronological, although I bumped up "We Dance" to the beginning because it didn't gel where it was and also, Gillian is a Cat Power fan, so I thought I'd start the mix out with a song she covered. This is pretty much a mix of greatest hits, songs I like and songs I thought that she would like.Feedback:
Nice move on opening with "We Dance". You hit upon all the right spots, although I would have closed with "Carrot Rope" and put in a couple of b-sides.
I didn't really like ending with "Carrot Rope" and was originally going to end with "Shoot the Singer" but ran out of room. There are three non-album cuts on there though. Box Elder, Frontwards and So Stark.
Good to see you at AotM in any capacity PCT...
