Comment:
Sun Ra & various line-ups of his legendary Myth Science Solar Space Infinity Intergalactic Arkestra. Side one is an overview of 60s Saturn releases. Side two is various 70s & 80s material. Unlikely to be covered in Ken Burn's cathode ray valium snooze-fest (man, that guy could suck the soul out of James Brown's sweat!).Feedback:
looks like an essential volume for the mostly earth-bound though well-intentioned atmospheric traveler. nice job!
True evaluation of the series, maybe I am a music snob but lets face it its music snobs that watch these programs not Joe Q. Public so why doe they always passover the great stuff. You beat me to a Sun Ra mix!!! I still will do one. "It's the notes between the notes that count, thats where we focus when we play"--Arkestra/Deep Space Posse member describing the sound to me.
You apparently beat me to a Sun Ra mix, as well... by several years!
